  • Botanical garden tours

    From Munduk Moding Plantation you will first see the beautiful twin lake of Buyan and Tamblingan before arriving at the edge of third lake named Beratan. There, you will visit the famous Ulun danu temple (head of the lake temple) which was built in the 17th century and is located on the shore of the lake. This is Bali’s signature temple that also figures on Bali’s local Hatten wines... Within a short driving distance, you will arrive at the traditional Bedugul market with its fruits, vegetables and flower sellers. The trip then takes you to Bali’s only botanical gardens with a plethora of trees and plants, in particular wild orchids.

  • Banjar hot spring and Buddhist temple tours

    Passings through some villages where seemingly unending rice paddies lie like a green carpet, driving through alongside plantations with tropical fruit trees, such as rambutan, durian, mango or manggosteen, you will arrive at the Buddhist temple where a tour around the temple is taken. Then we will take you to a hot spring, where you can relax and soak your limbs.   • Lovina beach and Dolphin tour

    Early in the morning at 4 A.M, you will be transferred from Munduk Moding Plantation to Lovina beach where you will board a local fishing boat to see the attractive dolphin pods. Although sightings cannot be guaranteed, you will typically spot a great many dolphins within half an hour.   • Gitgit Waterfall and Singaraja’s Waterfront Harbour

    Visit a 40 meter high waterfall in Gitgit village and a historical port in North Bali. Singaraja was the capital of Bali under Dutch administration and there are many remnants of Dutch colonial style. Singaraja also offers some very interesting places to see such as Gedung kertya (a local, museum and library which is the only museum in the world which has much an extensive lontar collection), Singaraja central market and ling gwan kiong Chinese temple, the beautifully constructed klenteng.     From MMP you will be taken on a tour of unexplored mountain villages in North Bali on the way to the most gorgeous waterfall system in Bali named Sekumpul.   • Off the beaten villages tour

    This tour will allow you to experience life in untouched Northern Bali far away from the tourist areas as well as the natural beauty a of rarely visited villages. The environment is outstandingly beautiful and very fertile, combining small plantations, rice fields, and jungle etc.

    Starting from Munduk Moding Plantation you will first visit a waterfall near Munduk village and then after arrival at Munduk we will also stop to inspect some old Dutch colonial houses. Munduk is believed to be the first Dutch hill station in Northern Bali. Further down you will see the amazingly beautiful rice terrace in Sanda before arriving in a village called Gesing where a massive banyan tree is located. This is the biggest tree in Bali ( about 66 meters in circumference around and 30 meters high ), it is simply called “ Big tree “.

    The tour will be then continue, passing villages such as Banyuatis (meaning “cold water”), Ideran, Gunung Sari, Bestala ( the fruits village ) and finally arrive in a Baliaga Village named Pedawa. This village of the oldest inhabitans of the island who still practice their own religion has old bamboo houses, a bamboo temple and processes sugar palm oil which is turned into many products, including irresistibly tasting brown sugar (which you can purchase if it is available ).

    We ask your understanding for the fact that some stretches of this trip may not be completely comfortable since we will be driving on small backroads far from the crowds.

  • Tailor made tours and activities

    We are happy to arrange tours further afield, including diving at Menjangan island, visits to Ubud, Amed and other places of interest on the island. We can also arrange green fees at Bali Hadara Kosaido golf course (Bali's premier golf course situated in the crater of an extinct vulcano). Please come and discuss with the duty officer who will be happy to advise you and make enquiries on your behalf. We also offer cooking classes, Balinese Gamelan and palm leaf creation. These courses are given at MMP by outside specialists who need to be notified a day in advance.
