Exploring the sea and nature in East Indonesia on board our ship KM Shakti
Why not combine the beauty of North Bali with Indonesia’s most exciting Island paradise - Raja Ampat - possibly one of the world’s last great adventures? This makes for a holiday of lifetime - let us put it together for you. Shakti offers specialised diving, snorkelling and free diving itineraries as well as whale and bird watching expeditions or other adventure trips.
On Shakti, none of the voyages resemble another. Charter the Shakti for groups up to 10 friends and we will design a truly unique and private experience in Raja Ampat according to your personal interests and individual wishes in terms of activities and itineraries. We also run a limited number of scheduled trips on which guests can book a cabin. Discuss the options with us personally. Shakti offers specialized diving, snorkeling and free-diving itineraries as well as whale and bird watching trips or other adventure trips.
Having extensively explored the region over almost two decades, the Shakti team can offer unique itineraries to genuinely unknown and pristine dive sites. The best way to dive this remote marine environment off West Papua’s Bird’s Head Peninsula is by basing your- self on a liveaboard that can move about 1500 islands and allow you to explore a myriad reefs and coral cays.
There are world-class snorkel sites as well as breathtaking anchorages. Shakti has explored and discovered awe-inspiring coasts to kayak as well as bat-caves and serene hiking routes. Hiking through jungle and viewing the ocean from majestical peaks, you can appreciate the true expanse of Raja Ampat’s transparent waters from a different view.
The Shakti is a long serving and extremely comfortable liveaboard that offers trips of all kinds – geological expeditions, bird watching, trekking and village interactions. Enjoy some of the most beautiful karst limestone coastal scenery in the world. Virgin rainforests meeting coral gardens.
Our 32-metre traditional Indonesian phinisi is the most experienced boat in Raja Ampat, offering unparalleled possibilities to discover an Indonesian island paradise. We operate year round in the Raja Ampat area and have more experience and knowledge of these seas than other operators. Shakti was launched in 2000 in Tanah Beru, a small village on the Island of Sulawesi, which has a long phinisi boat- building history. It was the first boat in the area and can draw from almost 2 decades of diving and exploring the Raja Ampat waters. The team’s knowledge about the area; its culture, people, mystical stories and marine life is outstanding and unparalleled. In recognition, Shakti has been used by television crew such as the BBC’s Planet Earth team as a base for producing nature documentaries.
Let us take you on a journey of discovery to see the wonderful wildlife of Raja Ampat
